Cabo San Lucas: what the library actually has
A clip-by-clip guide to the 1,805 Cabo San Lucas clips licensed here: the arch at Land's End from the water, the harbor and marina, the Diamante coast from the air, sport fishing, a stage full of dancers, and a plain list of what this catalog does not cover.
The short answer
footage.cool holds 1,805 clips tagged to Cabo San Lucas as of September 2026, shot in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021, nearly all with 4K UHD masters, licensed direct from the filmmaker at $79 per clip. The strongest material is an October 2020 boat trip around Land's End (the arch, the rocks, surf on the cliffs, sport fishing, a sea lion climbing onto the boat, boats at sunset), February 2020 harbor and marina clips, and 210 November 2020 drone clips of the Diamante golf and resort coast west of town. The largest group by count is a 2019 stage dance performance, 561 clips. What is not here: drone footage of El Arco, Medano Beach, Pedregal, Lover's Beach, whales, pelicans, or the downtown strip. If your edit needs those, look elsewhere; the Los Cabos beaches guide covers the corridor and San Jose del Cabo, where this library is far deeper.
- Clips
- 1,805 in the Cabo San Lucas hub: 42 from 2017, 1,076 from 2019, 678 from 2020, 9 from 2021.
- Drone
- 220 aerial clips, 207 of them over Diamante (golf, dunes, resort pools, lagoon) and 9 over the coastal desert outside town in April 2021. None of the arch.
- From the water
- 65 boat clips, 53 with rocks and cliffs in frame, 14 sport-fishing clips, 45 sunset clips, one titled clip of the arch, one sea lion.
- People
- 1,484 clips show people (dancers, anglers, beach walkers); 321 have nobody in frame. Check the release notice on each clip page.
Land's End from the water
One boat trip, October 15, 2020, shot handheld from a panga working the rocks where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. It is the only place the arch appears in the library, and it appears from sea level: Sailing in Ocean Past Arch of Cabo San Lucas in Baja is the titled clip, and the same session produced a run of granite-and-surf shots: rock formations on open water, waves hitting the cliff, boats threading the rocks, a fishing rod against the rocky coast. Searching the hub for "rock" returns 53 clips; "boat" returns 65. These are the clips to pull for a Cabo establishing sequence that stays honest about its vantage point.
Harbor and marina
February 2020, from the docks: a big tour boat tied up, a three-deck white mega yacht moored, a harbor full of speedboats and people. There are three clips that name the harbor and one that names the marina, plus the sunset departures from the October trip (Boat Leaving The Harbor At Dusk, Numerous Small Boats Drifting Into A Beautiful Sunset). This is a thin set, not a marina survey; say so in your shot list.
The Diamante coast from the air
The drone work is west of town at Diamante, November 23, 2020: 210 clips of the golf course meeting the dunes, resort pools and a lagoon from above, villas along the fairways, a water park, construction along the shore, a highway with traffic, and sunset over the dunes. Searching the hub for "golf" returns 30 clips and "resort pool" 42. If you need the resort-corridor look of Los Cabos from the air this is it; if you need the town of Cabo San Lucas from the air, it is not. A separate April 2021 flight added nine clips over the dry coastal terrain, roads, and scattered buildings outside town.
Dancers, anglers, and beach walkers
The biggest group is not scenery. A November 2019 stage dance performance runs to 561 clips (flamenco, choreographed routines, a band on a red stage, the audience), and a 2019 set of children's football matches and resort walkways adds several hundred more. The October 2020 boat trip shows anglers reeling in catches. A 2017 set follows people walking the beach. These clips carry people, so most are editorial-cleared as shot and need your own release for commercial use of a recognizable person; the clip page says which.
What is missing, stated plainly
- No drone footage of El Arco or Land's End. The arch is here from boat level only.
- No Medano Beach, no Pedregal, no Lover's Beach by name. Catalog searches for all three return zero clips as of September 2026.
- No whales, no pelicans, no downtown. Searches return nothing. Drone humpback footage in this library was shot on the East Cape.
- No 2022 to 2024 coverage. The most recent Cabo San Lucas clips are from April 2021. San Jose del Cabo and the East Cape were filmed through 2023.
For most Los Cabos projects the deeper hub is the 23,312-clip Los Cabos collection: the tourist corridor, San Jose del Cabo, Palmilla, Chileno, the estuary, and the resorts, shot 2017 through 2023.

Find the shot
Do you have drone footage of El Arco (the Cabo San Lucas arch)?
No. The arch appears in this library from boat level only: the titled clip "Sailing in Ocean Past Arch of Cabo San Lucas in Baja" plus a run of Land's End rock, cliff, and surf clips shot from the same October 2020 boat trip. The 220 drone clips tagged Cabo San Lucas are almost all the Diamante golf and resort coast (207 clips, November 2020) and a small April 2021 set over the coastal desert outside town.
Is there Medano Beach or Pedregal footage?
Not by name. Searching the catalog for Medano and Pedregal returns nothing as of September 2026. Beach clips in the Cabo San Lucas hub (356 of them) are mostly the Diamante shoreline and dunes, plus a 2017 set of beach walkers. If you need Medano Beach or the Pedregal cliffs, this catalog is the wrong source and this page will not pretend otherwise.
What Cabo San Lucas footage is in the library?
1,805 clips tagged to Cabo San Lucas as of September 2026: 42 from 2017, 1,076 from 2019, 678 from 2020, and 9 from 2021. The largest single group is a 2019 stage dance performance (561 clips), followed by the 2020 Diamante resort and golf aerials (210), the October 2020 Land's End boat trip (boats, rocks, sport fishing, a sea lion, sunset), and February 2020 harbor and marina clips.
Is there whale footage from Cabo San Lucas?
No. Searching the Cabo San Lucas hub for whale returns nothing. The library's drone humpback footage was shot on the East Cape, mostly at Buzzards Beach; see the East Cape guide.
Do Cabo San Lucas clips need model releases?
Often. Because the biggest group is a dance performance and the boat trip shows anglers, only 321 of the 1,805 clips have nobody in frame. Where a person is recognizable the clip page carries a release notice: editorial use is cleared as shot, and commercial use of a recognizable person needs your own release.
How is the footage licensed?
Direct from the filmmaker: $79 for the royalty-free standard license or $199 for extended broadcast use, per clip. The clean master downloads the moment payment clears, a license certificate PDF comes with every order, and every clip has a free low-resolution preview you can cut into a timeline first.
